Education

It's not surprising that we work with a large number of educational establishments.  We define AV as when more than one person is looking at a screen or listening to something.  If it's an individual looking at a monitor, that's more IT.  We get involved when there's a group that has to see, understand, and do something with information.  That's also a large part of what teachers do.  For them, AV is simply a tool which makes it easier to communicate their message to a class.

Schools, colleges and universities already make extensive use of AV equipment for lesson teaching, but educational establishments are finding that their audio visual requirements extend beyond just having an interactive whiteboard and a ceiling mounted projector in each classroom.Classroom Installation

A medical school needs to display x-rays accurately to a group of people.  Drama requires support with film shows and performances, rigging of PA systems and microphones for School productions.  In the Science department there can be a requirement to show images from a microscope to the whole class.  Teaching photography needs accurate reproduction of photographs.  A School Hall, which seats 1000 people, needs specialist equipment which in addition should be easy to use.  The Music department may require high quality sound equipment for concerts.  There can be Message Board Systems with large monitors networked throughout the campus or Soundfield sound reinforcement in the classroom.

Computer networks supporting hundreds of users are found in nearly every School and College. They need IT professionals to keep them up and running.  Looking after the AV side of things needs a different set of skills.  As the projects become more complex and move beyond the standard classroom installation, our customers appreciate the benefits of working closely with a company which has specialist AV expertise.
